Microdekor is a type of microcement floor and wall covering that is ideal for creating innovative modern vertical and/or horizontal surfaces. It is also called micro-topping. It is used in various indoor and outdoor areas, on new and/or existing surfaces of various types, such as ceramics, tiles, and concrete.
Microcement floors are not to be confused with resin floors, although the final effect may appear to be similar.
Microcement is a cement-based coating, only a few millimetres thick, that is colour- customisable, coming in a range of about 50 colours from black to white, through various shades that also include yellows, reds, greens, purples and blues.
Microdekor is applied onto both vertical and horizontal surfaces that must be prepared previously with special primers. This is done manually using professional trowels to create the desired effect, in 2 or 3 coats, already in the desired colour, without the need for cutting and/or joints.
After drying, the microcement surface is sanded with a professional sanding machine and fully vacuum-cleaned to remove any imperfections and impurities.
It can be acid-etched to create customised wind roses, designs and/or logos and left to dry.
The Microdekor cycle is concluded with the superficial application, by priming, of the two-component polyurethane resin that protects it, making it stain-resistant, water- repellent and non-slip.
This Microdekor is ideal for bathroom walls, shower stalls, laundry rooms, kitchens, saunas, spas, shops and the floor of shops, as it is long-lasting and highly resistant to all temperatures and stains. It can also be laid on heated floors. It is non-slip and easy to clean.
